THERE IS ONLY ONE SOLUTION TO THE HOUSING CRISIS IN SPAIN. THAT IS TO BUILD MORE HOMES… BUT IN A DIFFERENT WAY. THIS IS HOW WE THINK IT SHOULD BE DONE…
Making home ownership accessible to all in Spain:
This page outlines our commitment to affordable housing for young professionals, families, and older people – and how we aim to assist. However, it is not ageist or racist. It is to consider anyone. Our heart is primarily as said, because this is where we believe the help is most needed, and where we are best qualified.
We have a very clear strategy for how we know this can work extremely well.
“Social Housing” alone is not the solution. These often have a tendency to become the slums of the future! Sad words perhaps, but true!
It´s all about balance…
Our 3 main objectives.
1. To Develop sustainable communities with a mix of affordable and full-market-price homes, fostering a vibrant and inclusive environment. New housing developments that incorporate subsidised lower cost, energy-efficient apartments and modern town houses, providing affordable high quality homes, particularly for:
- Young professionals needing to reach the property ladder.
- Families who are in employment but in a low income bracket.
- Older people who require a level of care but have insufficient funding. We will provide this.
2. At least half of each development will be full market price. Mostly detached Villas. This would largely fund the subsidised part, and provide a reasonable ROI to investors (“venture partners” not speculators, in whom frankly we have no interest).
3. To help facilitate other startups and encourage local business growth. For example, contributory businesses such as Mini-markets, Cafe/Restaurant, podiatry, hair and beauty care, clothing etc., and to encourage independent investment by existing Companies wanting to expand. Our communities would make a healthy contribution to their success. They go hand in hand.
THE INTENDED RESULTS: “Where the wealthy help subsidise the worthy, with equitable returns, in more ways than one”.
Combining the above three main objectives creates healthy, supportive and sustainable Communities. A welcoming and active environment that enhances the quality of life for all.
Perhaps think of it this way:
Building a business with a social purpose can be both rewarding and profitable for all concerned. By combining our expertise, working with partners who have a shared vision towards affordable housing, we will provide solid business models that can be easily replicated.
The best business is always reciprocal.
Considerations.
- Cost of Living: Going beyond major tourist destinations for more affordable areas.
- Job Opportunities: Areas with a growing economy or industries that appeal to young professionals.
- Transportation: Easy access to public transportation to main cities and the coast.
- Location: within or on the edge of existing Communities, bringing benefit to newcomers and locals alike.
