This is a guide mainly for English speakers buying a home in Spain, with links to Schools in the major educational areas of the Costa del Sol and Costa Blanca.
These Schools come as suggestions, from our own experience, and the feedback we have received from parents. If your School is not listed it is because we do not know you yet. We would like to, especially to hear what parents have to say. Please tell us, and we will make enquiries.

Benalmadena.
The Benalmádena International College : Offering Preschool | Primary | Secondary | Sixth Form. Their philosophy is to give each child focused learning in an enjoyable environment – an experience they will treasure for the rest of their lives. They provide an enthusiastic and stimulating atmosphere, where children are taught to build their inner confidence.
The British College of Benalmádena: Offering Kindergarten, Nursery and Reception, Primary, Secondary and Sixth form. Quote: “For us the child, each and every is someone unique, unrepeatable, vulnerable, worthy of enormous respect. Someone that we accept as they are, but help them to develop their best side, awaking and valuing their true interests and skills.”
Maravillas Language School: (their link currently not working) Offers Spanish Language and Culture Courses. “Teaching Spanish to foreigners for more than 40 years. We are pioneers on the Costa del Sol… a cultural destination in Spain. Accredited by Instituto Cervantes, the highest Spanish public organization whose main objective is the promotion and teaching of the Spanish language.”
Estepona, El Paraiso, Nueva Andalucia.
The International School Estepona: Offering From Year 1 to Year 6 . “We build upon the foundation of concrete learning into a more abstract one. Our primary schooling programme follows The National Curriculum in England and Wales, which has a strong focus on the three R’s (Reading, Writing and Arithmetic). In addition, the School syllabus includes Science, Spanish, History, Geography, R.E, Music, Art, Drama and PE.”
Queens British Grammar School. An intentionally small school, with small class sizes. Dedicated to delivering an exceptional learning experience for children, in a pleasant, supportive, yet disciplined environment that is focused on making each child’s time at the school a happy one.
San Jose school. Offering all levels. Colegio San José in Estepona and Marbella is a private and bilingual school that covers all stages: Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, Compulsory Secondary Education, National Baccalaureate, International Baccalaureate Diploma Program and Dual Baccalaureate Program.
Atlas American School. ATLAS- ASM is a school that strives to prepare students for their future university entrance by following the American academic curriculum and focusing on promoting academic excellence, training in both skills and knowledge, and the development of responsible individuals, thus preparing our students to enter university in Spain or in any other country.
Malaga.
These Schools are no more than 25 minutes from eastern and central Málaga, Torremolinos, Benalmádena Costa, Churriana, Alhaurin, Pizarra and Coin.
Sunland International School. Spacious countryside campus close to Cartama Estacion, near Málaga University and the Scientific and Technological Park of Andalucia. It offers an international curriculum. English is the primary language, plus Spanish language and other courses in line with Ministry of Education guidelines. The School offers Early Years and Primary classes for 3 to 9 year olds, expanding annually to include the middle and secondary years.
St Georges School Malaga: a Co-Educational International School for ages 3-18 years, with a broad curriculum offering high quality education. The School is situated in beautiful landscape on a hillside close to the city centre. It is a British School belonging to the National Association of British Schools, all teachers are native English speakers, to facilitate maximum learning. The school offers a host of cultural and extra curricular activities to support and increase the growth of the students, including excursions, exchanges and thematic events.
Marbella.
The British International School of Marbella. Offers contemporary British international education from Early Years through to Secondary. BISM is part of The British Schools Foundation (BSF), a UK registered non-profit organisation and leading international school group. Since 2004, BSF has established over a dozen top international schools around the world.

CALPE School Marbella: Inspiring Children’s Love of Learning for over 50 Years. Following the British National Curriculum for boys and girls from 2 to 11 years old. Situated in Marbella (San Pedro) and established for over 50 years, the school has a proven record of preparing children to the highest academic standards in a safe and caring environment.
